Hello from the studio
Nyangi Studio USA is a tiny, husband-and-wife studio that started with two black cats and grew into a love of all of them. We make totes, bags, and wallets for the people who adore cats — designed and sewn in small batches, one cat at a time.
Our story
Like a lot of good things, Nyangi Studio USA began at home — with Vina and Ricky, the two black cats who run our house. Black cats are the most misunderstood and longest-waiting cats in any shelter, and falling for ours made us want to make things that celebrate cats everywhere. So Winnie started designing tote bags and wallets — made in small batches with a lot of love, and always a soft spot for the inky ones.
What began as a passion project is now a real little shop, sold at makers' markets and online, one cat at a time.

What we make
Nyangi Studio USA is a DBA of J&W Neko Ventures LLC — our husband-and-wife studio. Everything starts with a sketch at the kitchen table and ends as something you can carry every day.
Roomy, sturdy, and covered in cats. Our totes are made to be used — market runs, book hauls, and everything in between.
Slim card wallets and zip pouches for cat people — small enough to carry every day, roomy enough for the essentials.
Seasonal designs in limited runs. When a favorite sells out, that's usually it — so we keep an eye on Instagram for the next one.
What we believe
Nyangi grew up around black cats — Vina and Ricky — and they're still the soul of everything we make. We've opened the shop up to cats of every color, but black cats, the ones adopted last and misunderstood most, will always get a little extra spotlight here.
They're sleek, dramatic, endlessly photogenic — and they wait longest for a home. Every bag we make is a small love letter to them, and to the people who see what we see.
